Yaseen A. Naser

I build AI and backend systems — and the reliability layers that keep them running.

Computer-science-bound developer from Bahrain. I work across applied AI, machine-learning pipelines, and real-time web apps — with a focus on the engineering that makes them dependable. Currently exploring university and scholarship opportunities.

Things I've built

A mix of team and independent projects across applied AI, MLOps, and full-stack engineering. Each one taught me something about shipping software that holds up.

Transcend

Near real-time speech transcription and translation across 30 languages — built during NCST's virtual on-the-job training, where I hardened the backend and owned the WebSocket layer.

YouTube & Reddit Sentiment Analysis

An end-to-end MLOps pipeline that scores public sentiment and serves predictions to a Chrome extension. My focus was the Flask inference API that puts the model in production.

About me

Portrait of Yaseen A. Naser

I'm Yaseen, a developer from Bahrain working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and dependable software. I graduated at the top of my AI cohort at the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology, and spent a year in the United States on the Kennedy-Lugar YES Program, graduating from River High School in Ohio.

Most of my work lives where models meet production: retrieval-augmented chatbots, MLOps pipelines, and real-time systems. What I enjoy most is the engineering that makes these things reliable — the rate limiting, idempotency, retries, and recovery that decide whether software holds up under real use.

I'm AWS-certified in AI, bilingual in Arabic and English, and currently exploring university and scholarship opportunities in computer science. If you're working on something interesting, I'd like to hear about it.

What I focus on

  • Applied AI & retrieval-augmented systems
  • Reliable backend & real-time systems
  • MLOps & model deployment
  • Full-stack web engineering

Leadership & experience

Outside of building, a few things that shaped how I work and lead.

2025 – 2026

Kennedy-Lugar YES Program

Cultural exchange ambassador

Spent an academic year in the United States representing Bahrain — living with a host family, attending an American high school, and taking part in community and leadership activities.

2025

Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program

Selected candidate

Took part in CPISP's competitive development track, with coursework in leadership, critical reasoning, academic writing, and public debate.

2024 – 2025

TradeQuest

U.S. market analyst

Analyzed U.S. equities across the S&P 500 and NASDAQ, managed a simulated portfolio, and presented investment strategies to a panel of judges.
